Southern Detectives are probing the alleged poisoning of a 13 year old boy by a relative.
The teenager is being treated at the San Fernando General Hospital after he reportedly ate a meal laced with pesticide on Thursday afternoon.
According to police reports, the boy got into an argument with relatives at his New Grant home at around 3:40pm. A relative allegedly gave the boy a meal of curried chicken and rice. Soon after consuming the meal, the boy began vomiting and feeling unwell. He was rushed to the Princes Town Health Facility and was later transferred to the San Fernando General Hospital.
Police visited the home and detained the relative for questioning.
