Fifteen families of La Horquetta/Talparo collectively received $225,000 in funding from the National Self Help Limited to do structural repair work at their homes.
The funds will be allocated through the Minor Repair Reconstruction Grant, managed by the NCSHL.
A brief ceremony was held for the cheque distribution to the families in need at the La Horquetta Regional Complex.
Member of Parliament for the area, Foster Cummings, lauded the initiative and said he looks forward to doing more for those in need.
