The Tobago House of Assembly has approved expenditure of $17.5 million for the island’s inaugural Carnival.
The announcement was made by Secretary of Tourism, Tashia Burris, at Monday’s Executive Council Media Briefing. Secretary Burris said the figure could be less as there are a lot of sponsors on board for the festivities, which get underway from October 28th to 30th.
The Tourism Secretary also had a warning for those persons hoping to cash in on the influx of visitors to the island.
