Two hundred University of the West Indies (UWI) students benefited from much-needed scholarships and bursaries via the UWI Development and Endowment Fund.
The monies will assist the selected students in furthering their studies, many of whom are in their final year of their respective undergraduate programme.
The Development and Endowment Fund is designed to assist well deserved students who have financial need.
One recipient, speaking to TTT News following the ceremony, said the scholarship, valued at $15,000, will go a long way.
The Director of the Division of Student Services and Development at the University of the West Indies – St. Augustine said the funds are proceeds from UWI Fete.
