The highly anticipated Calypso Fiesta will see 40 Semi-Finalists taking the stage and bringing the heat at Calypso Central: Skinner Park, San Fernando on Saturday.
The Semi-Finalists selected their performing places at the Radisson Hotel ballroom on Thursday.
Jelani Kojo, known as Lani K, will open the show with his song ‘Death Row Lord I Repent.’
Marq Pierre, singing “A Father’s Wish,” will perform in position number 2, and singing ‘Here Again’ in third position will be Caston Cupid.
Karene Ashe will perform her 2025 contribution ‘A Leader’ in position 34. The Calypso Princess placed second in the 2024 Calypso Monarch Finals.
2024 third-place finalist and two-time Calypso Monarch, Roderick ‘Chuck’ Gordon, with his rendition titled ‘Look Tuh Press,’ will perform for the judges in position 39, and Tobago Calypso Monarch 2024, Nicole Thomas Clarke, will perform ‘Crown Jewels’ in 13th position.
Newcomer to the Calypso Monarch competition, Akhenaton Lewis, known as Yung Bredda, will perform in ninth position.
Eleven out of the 40 Calypso Semi-Finalists will be selected to join reigning Calypso Monarch Machel Montano on the Dimanche Gras Stage for calypso supremacy.
