Affected households and businesses along the East West Corridor all the way to Sangre Grande can expect to have an early return to their water supply.
That’s according to Minister of Public Utilities, Marvin Gonzales, who said the disruption in the water supply caused by a ruptured 42-inch main from the Oropouche Water Treatment Plant has been repaired early.
The work on the damaged pipe was began on Tuesday evening and was in the forested area of Valencia.
The work on the pipeline was actually completed 38 hours ahead of schedule.
The Authority notes it will take between 36 to 48 hours for the water supply to normalise to affected consumers.
