The National Commission for Self Help Limited, which falls under the Ministry of Sport and Community Development, distributed Grants to citizens on Thursday in two separate ceremonies at the Belmont Community Centre.
The Commission’s Interim Chief Executive Officer, Akino Greene, said these Grants represent more than giving citizens money. He said this new start will see families stepping into a life of stability and peace of mind.
The Commission’s Chairman, Hayden Mitchell, said issues of backlogs in the processing of applications are being addressed.
Over $200,000 in Grants were distributed.
