New Flights Coming To Tobago

Tourism stakeholders are hopeful that Tobago’s tourism sector will soon be revitalised.

This, as the first international flight after close to two months landed at the ANR Robinson International Airport on Monday afternoon. The British Airways flight carrying 88 passengers arrived in Tobago just before 5pm.

Chief Secretary Farley Augustine, speaking at a brief ceremony, mentioned the Tobago House of Assembly’s pleasure at the return of an international flight. He expressed confidence that Tobago would again become the leading port of entry for European markets in the country.

Meanwhile, Secretary of the Tourism, Culture, Antiquities and Transportation, Tashia Grace Burris, noted the arrival is a signal that Tobago is open for business. The Tourism Secretary also said they are on an aggressive stakeholder consultation process, as Tobago works towards reviving its tourism sector.
