Pivoting In The Pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic has destroyed many businesses but it has also encouraged others to pivot. Tobago-based artist Shonari Richardson used the opportunity to do just that.

Speaking on Thursday’s NOW Morning Show, Shonari explained that he used the pandemic to fuel his drive to create while utilising his skill in non-traditional, canvas and paint ways.

One of his most interesting opportunities was live painting a wedding cake at Tobago’s new Chief Secretary’s wedding.

He explained that the experience cemented for him, that anything is possible and encouraged others to make use of their opportunities.

Shonari is planning a solo exhibition in 2022.
