The five-member Committee formed by Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley to report on the parallel health care system and to examine the various aspects of COVID care has been granted a three-week extension to report its findings.
On January 15th, when he announced that the Committee was formed, Dr. Rowley said they were expected to submit a report in one week.
At Wednesday’s COVID-19 Update, Minister of Health Terrence Deyalsingh said Chairman of the Committee, Professor Terrence Seemungal, has asked for extra time to compile their findings.
The Minister was questioned about the reason for the extra time requested.
Minister Deyalsingh said he shared the development with the Prime Minister, who agreed that an extension of three weeks should be given to the Committee.
