The seven workers who were not allowed to return to work at two companies have been paid but are still not being allowed to return to work.
President of the Communication Workers’ Union, Clyde Elder, talked to TTT News this morning explaining what happened in terms of the injunction filed against the companies.
He says that the Industrial Court’s position has not changed and the company was made to comply with at least part of their judgement.
The Union is returning to court soon, however, to deal with the contempt of court matter as the companies have not allowed the workers back on the job. Mr. Elder says he is hoping to see punitive measures awarded to not only both the companies but their management teams.
