‘Caribbean Blue’ portrayed by Laura Rampersad has emerged as the top Queen after the preliminary judging in the T&T Carnival Bands Association’s Senior Queens competition.
‘The Phantom Queen’ placed second, with ‘The Spirit Who Brings Good Things’ placing third. There are 19 queens fighting for the top spot in the competition.
Meanwhile, out of the 22 kings vying for King of Carnival 2022, ‘Master of the Mantis’ being portrayed by Curtis Eustace emerged at the top of the pile after the preliminary judging round. He outscored his closest competitor, ‘Mystic Guardian of Amazons,’ with a difference of one point. Marlon Rampersad’s portrayal of ‘Dance of Unity, the Ganges Meets the Nile’ placed third.
