Sewa TT Donates 427,000 KN95 Masks To Key Stakeholders In T&T

Sewa TT has been focused on preventative measures as soon as the pandemic was declared back in early 2020. We made a conscious decision to support T&T, as much as we can without being a burden to the state. Today we are pleased to announce the completion of our KN95 Mask project where we were able to provide over 4 TT Million dollars of KN95 Masks to various stakeholders from first responders to the general public and those who are most vulnerable.

Sewa TT acknowledged the men and women of Trinidad and Tobago’s health and protective services, who place their lives on the line every day to protect and serve the citizens of our country and are at a higher risk of exposure to Covid-19 positive persons. We pay tribute to them by doing our part as a volunteer organization.

In anticipation of the reopening of schools in October 2021, Sewa TT determined that the best way to support the nation’s children is to help get them back to the classrooms. Sewa TT recognised that ‘children will be children’, and masks may be lost or may get damaged during daily activities.

The organisation reached out to its global network and through our friends in Sewa USA and Sewa UK, were able to acquire over 400,000 KN95 masks, valued over 4 million TT dollars, after shipping, taxes, and internal logistics.

Sewa TT volunteers worked tirelessly to count and repackage these masks for various stakeholders as follows:
