The remaining members of Trinidad and Tobago’s contingent at the Junior Pan American Hockey Championships are resting comfortably at the UGO Hotel in Santiago after their departure was delayed by Chilean authorities.
According to Honorary Secretary of the T&T Hockey Board, Reyah Richardson, the 23-member contingent has been relocated to a hotel in Chile’s capital after being asked to disembark their flight home on Tuesday evening. T&T authorities informed their counterparts in Chile that PCR Test results must be presented in English.
Richardson says the Hockey Board, Ministries of Sport and Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, the Sport Company, the Chilean Embassy in Trinidad and Tobago, and the T&T Embassy in Brazil have all been engaged in the matter.
