Lakshmi Girls Hindu College came out on top following the announcement of 100 scholarships awarded by the Ministry of Education for academic year 2020/2021.
Students were awarded for outstanding academic performance in 10 areas of study based on results of the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations (CAPE).
According to the Ministry, Lakshmi Girls students were awarded 10 scholarships, while Naparima Girls College and St Augustine Girls College were awarded 9 each. Daniel Wilson from Bishop’s High School was the lone scholarship winner from Tobago.
Additionally, top performing students, Niall Hosein from Naparima College, and Nikeesha Nancoo from Lakshmi Girls’ Hindu College, were recommended for President’s Medals.
Students from 22 schools were awarded 44 Open and 56 Additional scholarships.
