West Indies, England Draw Second Test

The West Indies and England were once again inseparable, playing to a stalemate in the Second Test of their three match series.

England resumed on 40 without loss and holding a 136 run lead over the Windies. They eventually declared on 185 for 6 at the end of the first session. Needing 282 for victory, the Windies lost five wickets before reaching the 100 mark. Kraigg Brathwaite trudged to 56 off 184 balls and saw the day’s wickets out alongside Joshua Da Silva who hit 30. Jermaine Blackwood contributed 27 as the Windies made 135 for 5 off 65 overs.

Jack Leach’s 3 for 36 was the best bowling haul and Saqib Mahmood took 2 for 21 in the three Lions’ valiant effort to get a result.
