T&T Receives PEPFAR Donation

The Ministry of Health today received US$150,000 in anti-retroviral drugs and supplies from the United States Embassy through The United States President’s Emergency Plan For AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).

The donation was part of their continued support of Trinbagonians living with HIV and AIDS, according to Charge d’Affaires at the US Embassy, David Schnier. He added the donation is proof of their commitment to public health, and the United States looks forward to continuing its partnership with Trinidad and Tobago.

The Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh, said the revival of PEPFAR for Trinidad and Tobago was built on his personal commitment to the US Government.
