Gujarat Titans In 37-Run Victory Over Rajasthan Royals

The Gujarat Titans continued their winning ways in their debut season of the Indian Premier League with a 37-run victory over the Rajasthan Royals.

Gujarat were limping at 15 for 2 in 3 overs but in came their captain Hardik Pandya to the rescue. He punished the Rajasthan bowlers with a 52-ball 87 not-out. Abhinav Manohar supported with a rapid 43 of 28 balls. They finished with an imposing 192 for 4 off their 20 overs.

With the required rate hovering around 10 an over, the Royals needed to bat with urgency from the onset. However, the only batter to stand firm was Englishman Jos Buttler who got to 54 of 24 balls. Guyanese top-order batsman Shimron Hetmyer got the second best score of 29. The Royals ended their allotted overs stranded on 155 for 9, handing Gujrat Titans their 4th win from 5 games.
