Parents need to be more involved in their children’s lives. That’s the cry of the sister of Joshua Mahabir who was murdered on Wednesday.
Joshua Shivanand Mahabir, 39, was fixing his car at his family’s home at John Jules Trace, Fyzabad when the incident happened. Police say at around 8:30pm, an unknown vehicle car pulled up alongside Mahabir and the occupants fired several shots in his direction. He died on the spot.
His brother Anand Mahabir recalls the family had some problems with the friends he used to keep.
His family admits that Joshua was not perfect and had some run-ins with the law. But they say the father of three was a joyful and reliable person who loved children and animals, and did not hold malice in his heart.
