Public Education Officer for the Environmental Management Agency (EMA), Alisa Gomez, says the organisation is working to teach young people how to recycle.
Ms. Gomez says there are two animations for persons four to 11 years to teach the value of recycling.
The EMA’s Education Officer adds the agency is also producing some videos on the role of the EMA and the legislation governing it.
According to the United Nations Development Program’s National Coordinator, Dr. Sharda Mahabir, more than 129,000 metric tonnes of plastic is imported into Trinidad and Tobago.
