Minister of Education Dr. Nyan Gadsby-Dolly has assured temporary relief to students of Penal Rock Road RC Primary and St. Dominic’s RC Schools.
Speaking to the media after a tour of some South schools, Mrs. Gadsby-Dolly responded to claims made by some parents that Penal RC is plagued with a myriad of issues – the main issue being no water at the school.
On Tuesday, parents of students attending St Dominic’s RC staged a protest demanding answers as to why their children were still being housed in a Community Centre after five years. However, Minister Gadsby-Dolly acknowledged there were some issues to be addressed, but justified that Community Centres have always been used when schools have been decanted.
