May is Indian Heritage Month, and this year marks the 177th anniversary of the arrival of East Indian indentured labourers to Trinidad and Tobago.
Lecturer Primnath Gooptar says there will be several cultural events and exhibitions to celebrate the event. He is encouraging people to come out and support the authors of the books.
For those nostalgic for old movies, Dr. Gooptar says that an exhibition of Indian cinema posters will also be shared for those familiar with movies from 1935 to 1969.
