The 15 year old female student who attacked her schoolmate with a knife has been granted bail.
The matter was heard before Judge Rodriguez at the Fyzabad Juvenile Court on Friday.
The minor, who was represented by Attorney Petronella Basdeo, pleaded not guilty and was placed on $50,000 bail with her father as surety. Two bail conditions were imposed: the accused is to have no indirect or direct contact with the victim, and no use of social media.
The Form 2 student from Marabella was charged on Thursday with Wounding with Intent to Cause Grievous Bodily Harm and Possession of a Weapon.
The matter was postponed to July 21st.
