Flash flooding has been reported across several areas as a Tropical Wave passes over Trinidad and Tobago.
TTT News understands that areas including Coal Mine in Sangre Grande, El Socorro South, Cedar Hill Road in Claxton Bay, Bonne Aventure Road in Gasparillo, the M1 Tasker Road in Princes Town, and parts of Rio Claro are currently under water.
Meanwhile, the ODPM, in its update at 11am, indicated that there are at least two reports of fallen trees – one at Farm Road in St. Joseph, and the other at Phoenix Park Road in California.
In an advisory to the public on Sunday, the Trinidad and Tobago Met Office indicated that there was a 70% chance that the passage of a Tropical Wave will result in heavy showers and thunderstorms. The Yellow Level Alert is currently in effect until midday on Tuesday.
