The Oilfields Workers’ Trade Union’s Rebel Slate was returned to head the union unopposed for the period 2022 to 2025.
Nominations which were held on Monday saw for the first time in the OWTU’s 85-year history women holding the positions of both 1st and 2nd Vice Presidents. Additionally, the new executive comprise two young people who were brought on to hold the positions of Trustee.
The new executives have replaced outgoing members Peter Burke and Chandrasain Ramsingh.
The Executive includes President General Ancel Roget, General Secretary Richard Lee, and Ozzi Warwick as Treasurer.
