Minister Young: No Delay In Commission Of Enquiry Into Paria/LMCS Diving Tragedy

Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, Stuart Young, says there will be no delay in the Enquiry into the deaths of four divers contracted by Paria Fuel Trading Company.

The assurance was given by Minister Young during Friday’s sitting of the House of Representatives, and it comes on the heels of an announcement on Thursday that Head of the Commission, Queen’s Counsel Dennis Morrison, resigned from the post for personal reasons.

Minister Young also explained that the Government of Trinidad and Tobago is in no way involved in the ongoing Commission of Enquiry into the February 28th tragedy.

Justice Morrison received his letter of appointment to head the Commission of Enquiry on April 22nd, 2022.
