MET Office: Potential Tropical Cyclone 2 Caused Higher Winds In Tobago And Other Islands

According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service, the weather disturbance caused higher winds in Tobago and other islands to the North of Trinidad.

Meteorologist at the Trinidad and Tobago Met Service (TTMS), Paula Wellington, explained that the strength of the disturbance was that of a very active Tropical Wave.

Ms. Wellington noted that despite Trinidad and Tobago’s downgrade, the Adverse Weather Alert- Yellow Level still poses a threat and urged persons to remain cautious.

Trinidad and Tobago can expect disturbances in the form of Tropical Waves and effects of the Inter Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) throughout the rest of the Rainy Season.
