Man In Stable Condition After Shooting In POS

A thirty year old man was shot in the head in downtown Port of Spain on Thursday afternoon.

TTT News understands that around 12:15pm, the victim, identified as Joel Williams, was approached by a man clad in black long pants, a blue t-shirt, and hat. Several explosions were heard and Williams collapsed on the roadway near South Quay and Broadway. The alleged attacker is reported to have escaped on foot and ran in the direction of the Sea Lots area.

The victim was taken to the Port Of Spain General Hospital by first responders where he is undergoing medical treatment. Police have reported that he is in a stable condition.

Checks of the Sea Lots area was also made for the suspect but up to news time, no one was held in connection with the incident.
