The Minister of Public Utilities, Marvin Gonzales, has assured that the Government will carry about its mandate to transform the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA), and “will not be distracted by the lies of the UNC and their cohorts to disrupt this transformation train from moving.”
The Minister made the statement on Monday afternoon as he dispelled recent claims by the Opposition UNC on the public utility company.
He stated that his Ministry is not engaged in training 50 persons at NAPA, or at any other facility to replace WASA Managers.
Additionally, he stated that the Government has not entered into a secret deal with a Canadian company or signed a Non Disclosure Agreement with respect to taking over WASA.
Minister Gonzales said the claims by Opposition MP Dr. Roodal Moonilal are “lies” and he is “more than prepared to expose them at every level.”
