A Home For Women’s Cricket

An area south of the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board’s Admin Centre has been identified as a possible home for women’s cricketC- a reality that may materialise in the not to distant future.

The initiative has been welcomed by at least one leading Men’s Club, Central Sports, who revealed historic plans to be the first men’s club to field a women’s team in the local women’s league. President and coach Richard Ramkissoon made the pledge over the weekend when the Chaguanas West Constituency Cricket Training Camp ended at the Invaders Recreation Ground in Felicity.

The camp was held for young boys and girls aged seven to seventeen and facilitated by several former and current players along with experienced coaches.

Member of Parliament Dinesh Rambally highlighted the excellent benefits to the community, not only in Central Trinidad, but distant areas such as Point Fortin, San Fernando, and Diego Martin, areas where the participants came from.
