NESC Now Offering Training In Servicing Hybrid Vehicles

Traditional cars and internal combustion will not become obsolete. This is according to Instructor at the Automotive Campus of the National Energy Skills Centre (NESC), Rohan Kanhai.

During the Open Day at the Automotive Campus in Point Lisas on Saturday, Mr. Kanhai said while traditional cars will remain an option, students will also be trained in servicing hybrid vehicles.

NESC’s Open Day offered new recruits and applicants the opportunity to get information on the variety of diploma and craftsman courses in automotive and heavy equipment sectors across the various campuses.

Managing Director of the Point Lisas Campus, Rodney Rupa, explained that they offer six full-time Craftsman Programmes at a cost. They also offer eight full-time Diploma Programmes that are GATE-approved.

Registration for the programmes are currently open and will close at the end of August.

Classes will begin during the first week of September.
