Fostering a Child

One way to increase children’s fit in society is to have them cared for by a family. The foster system in Trinidad and Tobago, though new, is attempting to bring this element to the lives of those who need it.

Team Lead Foster Care at the Children’s Authority Anjulie Tewarie –de Fague says fostering a child is different to adopting. The relationship between foster children and their parents is not cut, as the goal is to reintegrate them with their families where appropriate.
