Later this month, the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association will launch the “Girls Play” Football Development Programme for girls between six and 12 years old.
The TTFA begins the Women’s Football Campaign funded programme on October 15th in Trinidad at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, and at the Dwight Yorke Stadium in Tobago on December 3rd. It will continue as a caravan throughout the country.
WFC is meant to empower girls through football in a safe, friendly environment and has been developed by the FIFA as part of its Women’s Football Development Programmes.
FIFA’s aim is to increase participation in football throughout the world by promoting the game to and empowering women and girls.
