Friends and family gathered this morning to bid farewell to media veteran Edisel Fung, most commonly known as Ed Fung.
Mr. Fung was a founding member in 1957 of the now-defunct Radio Guardian which was later renamed Radio 610 AM and became the station’s first News Editor.
After leaving Radio Guardian, Mr. Fung joined TTT and then returned to Radio 610 as Programme Director in 1975 for another short stint.
One of his colleagues, former Trinidad and Tobago Television (TTT) Head of News Neil Giuseppi, paid tribute to Mr. Fung. He said Mr. Fung was a brilliant broadcaster who dedicated his life to the upliftment of his fellowmen.
