T&T And Curacao Sign Agreement

Trinidad and Tobago and Curacao deepens ties as both countries sign a General Framework Agreement.

Minister of Trade and Industry Paula Gopee-Scoon, and Minister of Economic Development, Ruisandro Cijntje signed the agreement to commence negotiations of a Partial Scope Trade Agreement, at the Prime Minister’s Office in Willemstad, Curaçao.

The negotiations are expected to be completed within a 3 year period and cover a range of subjects including market access for goods, services, investments, non-tariff measures such as sanitary and phyto-sanitary measures and technical barriers to trade.

This is part of a trade mission led by Minister Gopee – Scoon, where eleven companies are engaged in business meetings designed to build alliances, expand Trinidad and Tobago’s entry into non-traditional markets and grow exports.
