Students of the Arima SDMS Hindu Primary School now have a spanking new building.
At the official commissioning on Wednesday, Minister in the Ministry of Education, Lisa Morris-Julian, said she had a long history with the school.
Meanwhile, General Secretary of the Sanatan Dharma Maha Sabha, Vijay Maharaj, noted that the opening of the school marked the third anniversary of his father, Sat Maharaj’s death.
Mr. Maharaj indicated the school was originally built on Temple Street in 1920. He said it was reconstructed because of the age of the building, and relocated because of the danger of the previous location.
