Windies Facing Heat On Day 2

The West Indies were under the pump on Day 2 of the pink ball Test in Adelaide.

Beginning the ay on 330 for 3, Marnus Labushagne and Travis Head totalled a 297-run partnership as the Windies bowlers toiled on the second day. Run Machine Labushagne was eventually dismissed for 163 facing 305 balls while Travis Head registered 175 hitting 20 boundaries. The Aussie declaration came at 511 for 7 after facing 137 overs. Part timer Devon Thomas topped the bowling column with 2 wickets for 53 runs.

The Windies batters needed a solid foundation to ease the pressure of the towering total but lost captain Brathwaite for 19 with the score on 35. Tagenarine Chanderpaul continued his fine form in only his second test finishing the day on 47 not out hitting three fours and one six. 102 for 4 was what the Caribbean men could manage at stumps on Day 2.
