Two men have been detained in connection with the fatal shooting of an ex-police officer.
Police said Syed Mohammed a former police officer was killed at Katwaroo Trace, Penal, sometime before 10 am on Monday.
Mohammed was leaving to go to his business place when family members heard explosions.
Upon checking they saw Mohammed lying on the roadway with several gunshot wounds.
Police on patrol intercepted a vehicle at Debe Trace, Penal that matched the description of the getaway car and arrested two men and recovered firearms.
