National Under-17 Men Face Canada First In February World Cup Qualifiers

Concacaf has announced the schedule for the 2023 Concacaf Men’s Under-17 Championship.

The World Cup qualifying competition will take place from February 11th to 26th in Guatemala, and will include the participation of 20 Concacaf Member Associations.

The Group Stage of the competition will be contested from February 11th to 16th with Trinidad and Tobago placed in Group ‘F’ following the draw on September 29th, 2022. Head Coach Sean Cooper and his charges are grouped with USA, Canada, and Barbados and will begin the campaign versus the Canadians. The USA will be up next on February 13th, followed by Barbados on the 15th.

After the Group Stage, the top three nations in each group will advance to the knockout stage, joining the four 2022 Concacaf U-17 Men’s Qualifiers Group winners: Bermuda, Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and Puerto Rico.

The Round of 16 matches will take place February 18th and 19th, followed by the Quarter-Finals on February 21st and 22nd, Semis on February 24th, and Final on February 26th in Guatemala City. The four Semi-Finalists will qualify for the FIFA Under-17 World Cup Peru 2023.
