Red Force Vs Leeward Islands Day 2

After the first day was interrupted by rain, the T&T red force made a solid start to their second encounter, in the Cricket West Indies regional four day championship.

Battling the Leeward Islands at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua, rain also had its say on day two. Coming off a draw in Grenada against the Windward Islands, the Red Force are searching for their first win of the season. Captain Darren Bravo anchored the innings with an even 100 hitting 10 fours and two sixes. However, he was dismissed the very next ball, playing on, a short ball to his off stump. Meanwhile, Yannic Cariah provided assistance with a patient 128 ball 52. Imran Khan came in during the later stages of the afternoon, and batted aggressively for his 67 not out. The Leeward island’s bowlers toiled on a sunny afternoon with Jerimiah Louis taking 3 for 56 while and Colin Archibald and Sheeno Berridge each took two wickets. The red force finished day two in a strong position on 369 for 8.
Day three resumes on Friday at 9:45am Eastern Caribbean Time.
