The Trinidad and Tobago Red Cross Society is reminding the public that only authorized personnel can conduct business on behalf of the organization.
The Red Cross via a media release said over the past 6 months, they have been informed of numerous incidents of individuals presenting themselves as Members of the Society to business institutions with the intent to defraud these organisations.
They are advising that a member of the organisation is defined as an individual who Pays an annual membership fee to the organization โ and is registered and listed in their database.
These authorizations can be validated if needed at the National Headquarters of the Red Cross Society, Monday to Friday between 8 am โ 4 pm.
