Tax Amnesty Extended

The government’s tax amnesty has been extended to May 19, 2023.

The Minister of Finance, Colm Imbert, in a statement said, this is to give businesses and individuals more time to prepare their financial statements, submit their tax returns and to pay the taxes due for the year of income 2021 and prior years.

The statement says that to date, the original target of $500 million dollars from the amnesty has been exceeded, assisting the Government’s cash flow significantly, especially during a time of declining oil and gas prices.
