Cricket West Indies (CWI) on Monday unveiled the six squads for the West Indies Rising Stars Under-15s Championship which will be played in Antigua from Tuesday April 4th to Wednesday April 12th 2023.
The tournament will feature the six regional teams playing five rounds of 50-over matches at three venues: the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, the Coolidge Cricket Ground, as well as the Liberta Sports Club.
Today’s opening round saw Trinidad & Tobago against Guyana at Coolidge Cricket Ground and the full Trinidad & Tobago squad comprised Brendan Boodoo (captain), Yasir Deen, Alejando Kassiram, Christian Lall, Zakilon Beckles, Darrius Batoosingh, Dimitri Ramjattan, Aadi Ramsaran, Christiano Ramnanan, Ali Khan, Ganesh Corbin, Zane Maraj, Scyon Charles, and Aarion Mohammed.
Trinidad and Tobago’s U15s won their opening match against Guyana by seven wickets at Coolidge Cricket Ground. After choosing to bat first, the hosts were all out for 75. T&T chased down the total easily. Christian Lall who top-scored with 28 hit the winning runs as T&T finished the match in 15.2 overs losing just three wickets.
