The Minister of Education, Dr. Nyan Gadbsy-Dolly, made the following announcements:
All Forms 4-6 students, regardless of vaccination status, are required to attend schools physically for teaching classes, Practicals, and SBAs from Monday 25th October 2021.
Schools are not required to provide online classes or sessions for Forms 4-6 students in lieu of physical attendance of classes.
Schools are required to place emphasis on the completion of Practicals and SBAs for Forms 4-6 students at this time.
Students at Special Schools and Support Staff are allowed to attend school physically, according to suitable rotation schedules designed by Principals.
Forms 1-3 students are required to engage in remote/online learning. Unless otherwise advised, they will return to the Physical Classroom in Term 2 (January 2022).
Principals are allowed to invite Forms 1-3 students to physically visit the school for Orientation this term, if required. However, they must get permission from the Ministry of Education to do so.
ECCE Centres, Primary Schools and tertiary level classes will continue to operate remotely at this time.
