T&T’s Men’s and Women’s Beach Soccer Teams will be among 11 teams competing for spots in the ANOC World Beach Games at the Costa del Sol National Stadium in El Salvador from Thursday to Saturday.
The men are among seven teams and the women, 2022 Bahamas Beach Soccer Cup winners, one of four keen on qualification to the 2023 Games scheduled for August 5th to 11th in Bali, Indonesia.
Two teams will qualify from each section, with the men competing in a knock-out format and the women in a mini-league.
Tomorrow, the women will hope to make it two tournament wins on the trot when they begin their programme against hosts El Salvador. T&T men start against Bahamas.
Both teams are coached by former National Beach Soccer player Chad Appoo and will fine tune ahead of the May 2023 Concacaf Beach Soccer World Cup qualifiers in the Bahamas.
