The Ministry of Education has been distributing laptops to schools on an ongoing basis.
This was revealed in the Senate this morning, Friday. The Acting Leader of Government Business, Senator Paula Gopee-Scoon, publicised the amount of equipment that has been handed over to students. The Senator advised that even more laptops have been procured in this ongoing project.
Senator Gopee-Scoon told Opposition Senator Wade Mark that acquiring more laptops for students and teachers is an ongoing matter and always under review by the Ministry of Education. She made it clear that devices are bought as needed.
