The five men from Tobago who robbed the Carriacou branch of the Grenada Co-operative Bank on Monday October 18th were remanded to prison on Friday, after appearing before a Magistrate in St. George’s, Grenada.
The men, 25 year old Jabari Roach, 28 year old Allan Melville, 32 year old Akeem John, 29 year old Nashawn Scotland, and 36 year old Keon Dick did not have legal counsel and are due to return to court on November 3rd.
Each man faces three counts of robbery with violence, entering the State without the consent of an immigration officer, and failing to present themselves to a Government-approved quarantine facility.
The offence of robbery with violence is an indictable offence that carries a maximum penalty of 30 years imprisonment under Grenada law.
