Nicholas Paul continued his 2023 comeback season with another Gold Medal performance at the UCI’s Finale Bahnen-Tournee.
Competing in the Class One event in Dudenhofen Germany, Paul racked up 200 points on his way to the Sprint title.
The 25 year old TTO sprint cyclist beat hometown hero Maximillian Dornbach into second. France’s Rayan Helal was third.
Paul is on a long unbeaten streak in 2023 including Gold at the UCI Nations Cup in April.
After Monday’s performance, the former world number one moved up five places into seventh on the UCI’s Elite Men’s Sprint rankings.
Paul is recovering from fractures to his collarbone and ribs sustained in 2022 and has impressed with his recent run of form.
