Fatal Shooting In Maraval

An early morning shooting incident in Maraval has left one man dead and another in hospital.

According to reports, around 4am, three men were returning from a boat ride when the vehicle they were in was blocked and shot at.

While attempting to escape from the gunmen along Saddle Road, the car, driven by a man identified as “Tools,” crashed into a business at Maraval Plaza. CCTV footage caught two suspects emerging from their vehicle and opening fire on the occupants of the back passenger seat.

Tevin Morrison, also known as ‘Piggy,’ of Le Platte Village in Maraval, was found dead in the back seat while 41 year old Brian Eastman aka “Tools” of Maloney Gardens was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police officers say Morrison was known to them as in 2020 he was charged along with a Police Constable for an over $600,000 robbery during a “fake” roadblock.

In another twist to the incident, also caught on camera, two other individuals were seen approaching the crashed vehicle before police arrived on the scene. It is said the man searched through the vehicle and stole a gold chain belonging to the driver.
