Third Case Of Monkeypox (Mpox) Recorded

A third case of the Monkeypox (Mpox) virus was confirmed via laboratory testing on Monday.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) said the patient is a young adult male with a recent travel history.

The relevant County Medical Officer of Health (CMOH) is currently conducting an epidemiology investigation and has initiated the local public health response, which includes home isolation and contact tracing for the patient.

The first case of MPOX was recorded on July 11th. That patient, according to the Ministry, is a middle aged man with travel related history. The second case reported on July 12th is a young adult male.
